REDISCOVER YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF

A fusion of traditional RWS Tarot and the Yogic philosophy of the Yoga Sutras, this system blends cards, poses, and ancient teachings, to help you rediscover your authentic self.

WHAT IS THE YOGIC TAROT SYSTEM

The Yogic Tarot is a unique system that combines the timeless wisdom of the Tarot with the ancient philosophies of Yoga. Each of the 78 Tarot cards is aligned with a yogic philosophy and paired with a yoga pose, offering new layers of meaning and a powerful connection between the mind, body, and spirit.

This integration provides a practical and reflective tool for self-development. The depth of the Major Arcana and the guidance of the Minor Arcana come to life through both introspective study and physical practice. The Yogic Tarot invites you to explore these traditions in a way that is grounded, accessible, and deeply transformative.

THE YOGIC TAROT STRUCTURE

The Yogic Tarot follows the RWS tradition in core structure and layout. This creates a standard set of 78 cards with 22 Major arcana and 56 Minor arcana with four suits that encompass 40 Pip cards (number cards) and 16 Court cards.

The elemental association for the Minor arcana has been maintained and forms the foundation for the full sequences (Namaskar) for each Suit. The Major arcana sequence is based loosely on the Fool’s Journey.

Each Major and Minor arcana card is associated with a specific philosophy, while the Court cards each represent a specific Hindu deity that has an association to the practice and philosophies of Yoga.

This traditional RWS structure then blends with the structure of the yogic Koshas (layers of the self) and the Chakras, adding depth to the self exploration aspect of the Yogic Tarot.

BIRTH OF THE YOGIC TAROT SYSTEM

CHECK OUT THE YOGIC TAROT YOUTUBE CHANNEL

The idea for the Yogic Tarot was born during Tam’s Yoga Teacher Training in early 2021 when she noted the unmistakable links and similarities between Tarot and Yoga. As she unpacked the philosophies of the Yoga Sutras she began to link each card to a philosophy and pose. Some of the cards came easily while others took close to three years to come to life and the system was built in its entirety. The guidebook and cards are currently being crafted along side Tam teaching the system through the official Yogic Tarot YouTube channel.

Tarot and Yoga have both been long standing personal practices for Tam. Having reaped years of benefits and wisdom from both, Tam works to share these with others though the Yogic Tarot platform, so that they too can reap the multitude of benefits and wisdom.
